Brian Fahs is graduating with his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in December 2005. He worked under the guidance of Professor Sanjay J. Patel and Steven S. Lumetta in the Center for Reliable and High Performance Computing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research is in the implementation and limitations of hardware-based dynamic optimization. He has also researched new microarchitectures and performed performance modeling for Sun Microsystems from May 2002 - August 2005. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
