Welcome to the ACS Simulation Tools Contribution section. As this project is developmental in nature, we would like to encourage other developers to help contribute back to community. We urge anyone who has bug fixes, useful additions, or suggestions to let us know.

This release is far from perfect. There are many known issues that are still present, and many feature requests that have yet to be addressed. On this page (which is itself a work in progress), we will continue to post a list of desired items. This is neither a complete nor a prioritized list, but it is a nice summary of those things that both the developers and the users would like to see added to the corresponding tools. If you are interested in helping on any of these topics, please email spadini@crhc.uiuc.edu.

Contribute to the Connect Dataflow Idiom Finder

  • Add support for non-exhaustive heuristics. This mode should use drastically less memory and computation time.
  • Make CDIF less memory intensive or faster.
  • Add tools for using the output of the idiomizer. Automatic reconfig logic generation or library encoding would be useful.
  • If you would like to donate any region files from hot paths of common benchmarks, this would be a very generous contribution.
  • Add new ISAs.
  • Bug fixes, bug fixes.
  • Porting the tool to different compile targets.
  • Come up with more wishes! We would love to hear any suggestions for improvements of the tool.
